هي جامعة ميثودية خاصة في بوسطن. يبلغ عدد طلابها 30.000 وهي رابع أكبر جامعة خاصة في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. تأسست جامعة بوسطن كأول منهج دراسي عام نقل هذا الفصل إلى كونكورد، نيوهامبشر، وفي عام 1867 نقلت إلى مكانها الحالي في بوسطن، أصبح اسم الجامعة بجامعة بوسطن عام 1869. يقع حرم الجامعة على امتداد شارع الكومونولث أفينيو Commonwealth Avenue. وأغلب المباني الجامعية تتوزع حول طرفي الشارع. يمتد الحرم الجامعي على مسافة ٢ كيلو متر.
درس في الجامعة بعض المشاهير وأصحاب الأوائل في بعض المجالات، مثل:
- مارتن لوثر كنج، الحاصل على جائزة نوبل للسلام والمطالب بإنهاء التمييز العنصري في أمريكا. حصل على شهادة الدكتوراة في اللاهوت المنهجي في عام ١٩٥٥م.
- أوسكار آرياس سانشيز، الرئيس الكوستاريكي السابق، والحاصل على جائزة نوبل للسلام. انتظم في الجامعة لدراسة الطب ولكنه لم يكمل دراسته فيها.
- فيصل الفايز، رئيس وزراء الأردن السابق. حصل على شهادة الماجستير في العلاقات الدولية في عام ١٩٨١م.
- جوليان مور، ممثلة حاصلة على جائزتي الأيمي والغولدن غلوب. حصلت على شهادة البكالوريوس من كلية الفنون.
- جينا ديفيس، ممثلة حاصلة على جائزتي الأوسكار والغولدن غلوب، حصلت على شهادة البكالوريوس في الدراما في عام ١٩٧٩م.
